The objective of this workshop is to simplify and clarify the newly-enacted COIDA Amendment Act’s guidelines. This workshop offers in-depth tutorials, hands-on examples, and procedural steps for managing occupational injuries and diseases. It covers everything from problem identification to form completion.

On 17 April 2023, the President of South Africa signed the Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Amendment Act, 2022. These amendments will have far-reaching financial and legal consequences for businesses that do not comply with these new regulations.

Late reporting of a work related injury: A business will be fined 10% of the declared annual wages for late reporting of work injuries.

LWO is offering a workshop to explain this amendment law and suggest practical tips to avoid the massive fines that have been proposed.

All businesses in South Africa that employ one or more workers must be registered with the Department of Employment and Labour’s Compensation Fund to cover their workers against work related injuries.
